National Work Life Week 2018
National Work Life Week 2016 is taking place from Monday 2 – Friday 6 October. The week is an opportunity for both employers and employees to focus on well-being at work and the importance of work-life balance for everyone. Working Families is calling on employers and employees to get involved and show their support for the week, as well as help us to spread the word on the importance of getting the balance right.
How to get involved and show your support for National Work Life Week 2018
Employers who want to support their staff during the week can download our employers’ toolkit for ideas and inspiration on how to get involved. The toolkit includes a press release template and ideas on workplace activities and can be downloaded here:www.workingfamilies.org.uk/employers/national-work-life-week/a-toolkit-for-employers/
Go Home on Time Day
As part of the week, Working Families will be encouraging all employees to take part in Go Home on Time Day on Wednesday 4 October. Our research shows that many parents are working far longer than their contracted hours every week. Our ever-popular annual day provides a mid-week breather and the opportunity to think about balancing work and non-work life.
Social Media Support
We’d be delighted if you support the week on social media on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Please download Go Home on Time Day logos and images to add to your posts and tweets. We’ll be adding further infographics on our research findings to the web page on Wednesday 4th October.
